This semester, mainly about the eighteenth Century to 

nineteenth Century art. Because I didn't understand for

 this period of history, so by surfing the Internet for 

information about the development process of fashion,

architecture,object and so on.

 

I understand more artists and works, understanding the

 current art does not just happen, it is gradually developed 

from the simple things, step by step improvement, 

innovation in the original works, will now have such a great art.

 

To learn more about others good works,I can better use the idea

 in my own works. At the beginning of the study will feel good

 creative is difficult,but learning,find information,and will have

Wu Guanzhong,one of the foremost painters in Chinese modern art,

was a leading exponent of abstraction in China.He became renowned 

for synthesising Eastern and Western sensibilities,exploring the

 possibilities of abstraction in traditional Chinese ink and Western oil 

painting.

Wu saw form as an important component in appreciating a work of art,

seeing beauty in formal visual elements like line,shape,colour,texture 

and composition.These were of critical concern,much more than subject 

matter and physical resemblance to an object in reality.Wu believed

 that appreciation of art begins with appreciation of the formal visual

 elements.To him ,this approach is instinctual,something that comes

 naturally to all of us.

The use of LANGUAGE in contemporary art-making can be a powerful tool,as artists engage 

with wordplay and their semantic allusion to open 

up new reading in art,beyond their visual qualities.

This Unitled work by Cheo Chai-Hiang,submitted to the 1976 National Sculpture 

Exhibition,comprises of an adapted log of wood,lodged 

with a traditional washing board,that is design to open

 and reveal text from the final stanza of the 1922 Robert 

Frost poem,stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening.

Initially in the exhibition,By incorporating text into the 

artwork,Cheo’s work navigates between the realms of the

 texture an

 the visual.By interchanging the location of meaning for 

viewers between text and air object,viewers are prompted 

to reconsider the processes of how artworks can be read and 

understand.

AHMAD ABU BAKAR made Untitled(Chair) in response to the rising consumerism of 1990s Singapore

 where portable music players became popular and frequently seen

 to be used by commuted on public transportation.The work was a 

reconstruction of an earlier piece,since lost,which Bakar made in 

1992 at The Space exhibition at Hong Bee Warehouse,organised by 

The Artist Village.At this exhibition,participating artists created new 

works utilising found object from the discussion during a sculpture 

forum,and critic,itself symbolic of capital punishment in Singapore.

For the artist,it was the state of metal absorption amongst music 

listeners that was od his primary interest in the making of the work

 as the artist reflected on the relationship between meditation and 

torture.

Because study with a teacher who teach interior design for a 

period time,I an very interested in interior design,and often 

look on the interior decoration of the TV program when I was 

young.So I’m very want to carefully study this part. 

 

In my opinion,the interior design is very interesting,I can see 

a lot of very interesting furniture design.because we often stay 

indoors,so indoor decoration,furnish and decorate very influence

 people’s behavior and mood.So it is closely related to us.

Interior design is to learn a lot about it,not only the whole 

space good-looking,but also meet the needs of occupants,the functional 

of indoors is indispensable.

Due to the completion of homeworks,so my classmates and I went

 to visit the Singapore art museum.Happy is that we can visit the 

museum free of charge.And after entering the museum we know

 there is a Chinese artist exhibition--Wu Guanzhong.So we according to the museum guide book to where 

we want to go to. It is a pity that night,so many pavilions are turned

 off,we can only see a few pavilion.

I have been to the museum of curiosity,may rarely have the opportunity

 to go to the museum.I remember the first time I went to the museum 

and see the exhibition ,is the world famous painter.After seeing the exhibition

 that can draw a good work is very difficult thing,so I think I need more

We believe in happy design,We’re especially drawn to the impact and beauty of simple,modern graphic shapes and bold colors.We imagine these pieces would be equally happy in spaces for kids or adults.

Happy is that people most need and most wanted.In the life of people,if not happy,life will become boring.But with the development of  the times,people's life is really less a lot of happy,most people with serious to disguise himself.

In my opinion,the most simple is happy,a lot of the things you think it is complicated,you will not be happy.We should return to the most simple life at the appropriate.

This work combines the growth and decay,fresh flower on the body and growth.Although the body has not decomposed,but be foil flower that is so pale.

I think the object design is useful for our life.There are many objects around us ,if we have any need ,we can use the object.With the improve of  people’s living standard,the simple form and function of object cannot meet people’s needs.So we need to design more beautiful form and applied functions to satisfy people.

Tartan glass design by Italian designer Chiara Andreatti ,it is combined with traditional blown glass and precision industrial of metal engraving.At the bottom of each vessel have created a strong pattern -- imprint-metal mesh"immersed"in the bottom of the cup, creating a unique plaid decorative effect.This product not only unique,but also because it is glass, so we can easy to identified the things of inside the glass. And glass have many colors .

Earth,wind,water,fire:the essential elements that breathe life into our planet,power our machines,destroy what we create,enable our great adventures.They can be both magical and awful by the same coin for us humans.but in either case we all know them well.Each of the images in this collection tells a story of interaction with earth,wind,water,or fire.Something it’s a dance,something it’s a struggle.

In life there are too many elements to use in the works of art,most of them are from the nature,of course,is not only the art.nature to human beings largely gift.However,there is little feedback on the nature.So,we need more people with practical action to return to nature.

Since the dawn of human civilization,we’ve looked to the sky as our muse and for meaning.The constellations inspired mythology;birds opened our minds to flight;the moon drives us to romance and madness.

I like to look up at the starry sky,because doing so I can forget the troubles in my heart ,looked at the vast sky,then I think of myself,even if the big difficulties ,no sky high,so no matter what,I can be very good to overcome the difficulties.

To look up or look forward to us are positive energy.When we get a positive energy,we can use in learning and work,improve efficiency,and we will enjoy learning and working.

I like cyan.when I buy something,I will ask if there is a blue one.

Cyan is a light blue color with a subtle hint of green,comparable to refreshing shade of a swimming pool.It is one of the common inks used in four-color printing.Perceived as healthy,life affirming and ecological,cyan exudes a natural sophistication.

Cyan is the color of shallow water over a sandy beach. The water absorbs the color red from the sunlight, leaving a greenish-blue color.

I think the blue color makes people relax and subside.When people staying a blue space,people’s emotion will to calm.Maybe you will feel cold.

In the beginning of class,lecture told us ,we should make a paper tower,it must be stable and tall.Then I sit with my group,I found my members all cannot speak Chinese ,it’s difficult for me to communicate.And I feel nervous,I think I should try my best to talk to my members.

When I thought about after,we start to design our 

Paper tower,first,we should draw our own sketch,then choose the best one to make the real one.In the end they choose a part of my design.I’m very happy.

Because of the language barrier,I did not discuss with them,but believe that I will be able to communicate with them next time.

Before the class,lecturer told us should take some materials in the next week,like egg pulp box,black plastic bag,and so on. We feel exited,because of I do not know what should I do with this materials.

One week later,start to this class.we bring this materials,before this class,lecturer closed lights,and play some terror music.Then,our group started to design our woks.Lecturer require us using this materials to make a cloth for one of our group member.And request the model only has three fingers,no eyes,long hair.That’s very interesting.

We have to be completed within one and half hour,so we completed as soon as possible.

Our cooperation is very happy and harmonious.At the end of class,we all pictured with each other.

She is a husky,her name is lucky.she is my good friend,although she is not my dog.But we have lived together for three months.while I left her long time ,but when I thought playing with her ,I am very happy.When I came to Singapore,I see other dog ,I will miss her. 

She is strong enough,when I walk the dog ,I can not move her ,instead,she always pulled me going where she want to go.That is very interesting.

When people eat food with plastic packaging,she will hear the sound of plastic packaging,and then ran fastest to the people who are eating,putting out his tongue,and sitting beside the people.As long as you do not give her to eat,she will sitting next to you. If you stand up ,she will jump up to grab your food.So you just give her food .She always to makes some things you do not understand,such as when I went to put him out of the cage,she will run a few laps around the big table.That’s really funny!

Keep dogs have always been my dream,and now my dream finally came true.albeit I am not lucky’s master,but to get along with lucky makes me happy in this three months.she is so smart and humor.  

 He had another partners,a turtle,a fish,4 hamsters.This is a large family.I love the big family,I also love my family.

This summer, I have been to Guilin,China with my friend.I was deeply moved by the blue sky with fleecy clouds because it made me feel a sense of nature and freedom. 

One of its most famous scenic spots is the karst caves.When you are walking in the karst caves,you will touch the wonders of the nature vividly as if the water has its own ways to express its different minds.

The most strangest experience of the trip was being in the home of a minority called Hani.Women in this minority are called Ali which stands for the authority,however,men are dubbed Abu which means that they must follow women.The culture of Hani is different from male chauvinism,one that is well received.As for me,women and men is equal,and what’s more,without equality,the peace and love of the world is out of question.But with the development of the society,I believe we can eventually achieve the equality.And now,we should respect the difference of cultures and spread the excellent traditional culture.

In a word,Gulin is a place full of nature and humanity.If you can come to Gulin next time,you can get the relaxation of not only the eyes but also the heart.I will enjoy the trip in my memory!
